To encourage the institutions to enhance and preserve the Naviglio Grande and its surroundings.

Our continuous and passionate work brought to the area the attention of millions of tourists and visitors. We believe to have strongly contributed in that way to the great development and enhancement of the Naviglio. Many clubs, restaurants and bars opened giving new life to the canal. The Naviglio Grande Association played its part creating a "summer nights' promenade", when the whole area is closed to automobile traffic and all the bars and restaurants are allowed to place their tables along the canal. Among the Association's targets there is the project of a permanent pedestrian precinct located between Scodellino Bridge and Valenza St. Bridge. Our project is about giving to such a unique touristic area the attention it deserves, placing, among the other things, urban furniture, street lights and paving.
The Associazione del Naviglio Grande welcomes anybody willing to join us, to take an active part in the activities, to point out examples of inefficiency and decay, to suggest initiatives or to sponsor new projects.
